Cincinnati Incorporated has delivered the motion system to Oak Ridge National Laboratories (ORNL) for the development of BAAM, the big area additive manufacturing machine.
The Oak Ridge Manufacturing Demonstration Facility and CINCINNATI are jointly developing the system. CINCINNATI expects to have BAAM for sale before the end of the year to build thermoplastic parts many times faster than conventional additive manufacturing systems.
