Advanced manufacturing techniques with a focus on true sustainable production assembly in automotive is a top priority for Divergent3D. Divergent’s digital production system, the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS™), is advertised to radically transform auto manufacturing economics and environmental impact using a data-driven approach for designing and building vehicle structures. The Czinger 21C Hypercar is turning heads while breaking track records all over the world, and the vehicle is fundamentally a technology demonstrator to show what the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) can provide.
While working in Long Beach, California at the Metrix AM Industry Summit in June 2022, Adam Penna took the opportunity to follow up on an invitation, that came during episode four of the AM Voices podcast from Divergent & Czinger Vehicles Founder, Lead Inventor, and CEO, Kevin Czinger. We had the pleasure of touring the Divergent facility in Torrance, California and took a moment during their exciting expansion to learn more about leading the team that is re-inventing sustainable automobile production assembly from no other than their experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer, Michael Kenworthy.
It was inspirational to hear about the projects Michael has worked with in aerospace throughout the years and how environmental impact plays a large part in how to shape the digital transformation of manufacturing assembly processes today.
