  • The Barnes Group Advisors and APWORKS enter into agreement at formnext 2018

Taufkirchen, Germany – December 5, 2018 – APWORKS and The Barnes Group Advisors have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to enter into a strategic collaboration. The agreement was signed last month at formnext 2018. The scope of the agreement includes The Barnes Group Advisors (TBGA) providing Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technical Marketing and Application Development support via the Technical Excellence Resource Model. The Technical Excellence Resource Model allows APWORKS access to TBGA technical expertise as needed to support AM business opportunities.

For APWORKS, this represents the next logical step in the geographic expansion of its Additive Manufacturing activities, with a strong focus on AM-based serial applications. APWORKS offers its customers support throughout the full AM journey from first idea to serial AM production. This includes comprehensive AM training, AM compliant design optimization, business case development, and end-to-end industrial production capabilities.

“We are very excited to partner with APWORKS and grow the Technical Excellence Resource Model,” says John Barnes, Managing Director, The Barnes Group Advisors. “We believe TBGA can add value and help APWORKS grow their new operation by efficiently matching the right great people with the right great technology.”

“After gaining a degree of awareness in the AM environment in Europe, our customers in the North American region now want to draw on our know-how,” says Joachim Zettler, Managing Director, APWORKS. “We value strong partnerships, and we believe that by pooling our activities with The Barnes Group Advisors we can rapidly implement our North American expansion strategy.”
