Sciaky, Inc., Along with Technology Partner EVOBEAM GmbH of Germany, to Exhibit Extensive Range of Electron Beam Welding Solutions at FABTECH 2013

EB welding options include Sciaky’s groundbreaking additive manufacturing technology, as well as large- and small-scale EB welding chambers for producing large structures and tiny, rapid-production parts.

Chicago, Illinois – Sciaky, Inc., a subsidiary of Phillips Service Industries (PSI) and large-scale additive manufacturing pioneer, announced today that it will exhibit with technology partner EVOBEAM GmbH of Mainz, Germany at FABTECH 2013 to showcase the widest range of electron beam (EB) welding solutions available in the marketplace.

Sciaky specializes in large vacuum chamber EB welding systems with state-of-the-art internal moving guns. These systems utilize low voltage and high power, and are ideally suited for large-scale parts. Sciaky’s groundbreaking additive manufacturing process, which is marketed as Electron Beam Direct Manufacturing (EBDM), remains the only large-scale, fully-programmable means of achieving near-net shape parts made of high-value metals, such as titanium. EVOBEAM, on the other hand, specializes in high throughput, small vacuum chamber EB welding systems with external guns. These systems utilize low voltage and low power, and are ideally suited for rapid production of small-scale parts.

“Sciaky is looking forward to exhibiting with EVOBEAM at FABTECH,” said Mike Riesen, General Manager of Sciaky, Inc. “Together, Sciaky and EVOBEAM offer the widest range of proven, cost-effective EB welding and EB additive manufacturing solutions anywhere in the world.”

FABTECH 2013 takes place November 18-21 at the McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Sciaky and EVOBEAM will exhibit in booth N223. For more information about FABTECH, visit www.fabtechexpo.com.
