Amputee Long Drive Championship Hosts Second-Annual Competition

What
The Amputee Long Drive Championship is working with the Local Organizing Committee in Mesquite, Nevada to produce the ParaLong Drive Worlds, a competition where 45 amputee, paralyzed and blind golfers from the U.S., Australia, Canada, England, Israel, Netherlands and South Africa will compete to win the long drive championship.
Who
Stratasys is a presenting sponsor of both the ParaLong Drive Worlds competition and the Mesquite Innovation and Technology Summit. Separate from the golf event, the summit will highlight advancements within the prosthetics and orthotics industry with presentations by individuals who have made advancements for amputees. Stratasys 3D Printers will be on display at both events demonstrating how 3D printing technology could be used to design and manufacture prosthetics.
Where
The ParaLong Drive Worlds event will be held at the Mesquite Sports and Event Complex located at 1635 World Champion Way, Mesquite, NV 89027.
The Mesquite Innovation and Technology Summit will be held in the Grand Canyon Room at the Eureka Casino Resort located at 275 Mesa Blvd., Mesquite, NV 89027.
When
ParaLong Drive Worlds is Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Mesquite Innovation and Technology Summit is Thursday, Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Both events are free and open to the public.
Why
Amputee Long Drive Championship founder Dean Jarvis created an event that allows disabled golfers to demonstrate their abilities and compete in a nationally-recognized tournament.
