Local Motors has already built the world’s first 3D-printed car, and soon will start producing the road-ready model.
Local Motors’ community of designers across the globe have been busy submitting designs for the road-ready 3D-printed car as part of Project Redacted, and there are only five day left to enter.
The submission period for Project Redacted ends June 15, 2015 and the community will vote June 19-25 to pick the winner. The winning design will be approved later this summer and then the vehicle will move into production.
Want a sneak peak of what could be the winning design? Click here to see one submission that’s grown very popular within THE LOCAL MOTORS community. This design may just be the future of vehicle innovation.
In addition to Project Redacted, Local Motors is also opening its latest Mobifactory (Mobi) on June 11 in Crystal City, Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. The Mobi will serve to inspire and unite the Co-creation Nation for a summer of innovation and making in the heart of our nation’s capital.
