- A leader in its industry, Materialise is bringing a select network of customers and partners, together with key influencers from the industrial and healthcare sectors, to discuss the future of the 3D Printing technology.
- The Materialise World Summit takes place at the Square Meeting Centre, Brussels: April 20-21, 2017
Brussels, Belgium. April 10, 2017. The long-awaited and much-hyped Industrial Revolution 4.0 is now becoming a firm reality. However, to further its progress and reap the greatest benefits of 3D printing technologies, those in the industry must evolve their approach to design, collaboration and innovation. It is with this aim in mind that the Materialise World Summit (MWS) has been organized. This two-day event will bring experts and decision makers from a wide range of industries together to discuss both the reality and the future of 3D printing (3DP) technology. At a moment when digital manufacturing is already a fact and 3DP technology is at a crossroads, this summit is set to provoke conversations and inspire the audience to Think. Beyond.Together. about the next steps.
The first Materialise World Conference was held in 2010, with the objective of sharing knowledge between experts in 3D Printing. With the new summit format Materialise is going one step further and is aiming to empower decision-makers looking to expand and innovate their current applications or businesses. The goal is to address the challenges and opportunities opening up in this new digital era for different industries, while also tackling the impact that this technology can have on a human level.
Materialise’s CEO, Fried Vancraen, a pioneer in the industry, has this to say about the upcoming Summit, “The technological maturity of Additive Manufacturing is often underestimated but I am confident that we are ready to make it happen. The industry might be in a transition phase, but the opportunities to use the technology are already there and a cross-industry collaboration will be a key factor in transitioning towards new challenges and opportunities. It is because of this that I look forward to seeing everyone at the MWS in Brussels.”
The Summit is organized in two sessions, one additive manufacturing and software (AMS) and another approaching medical applications and software. Speakers are high profile experts and innovators from companies such as Siemens, Airbus, Hoya, Mayo Clinic, GE, Airbus, Atos, Dassault and many others.
