- Together with its network of partners, EOS supports customers in establishing additive manufacturing capabilities along the entire value chain
April 16, 2018 – EOS, the world’s leading technology provider for the industrial 3D printing (AM) of metals and plastics, is again showcasing its extensive portfolio of solutions at this year’s Hannover Messe. At the world’s leading industry trade show, which runs from April 23 to 27, EOS will be presenting three main topics in the “Digital Factory” area in hall 6 at stand K10: Its systems portfolio with a key focus on polymer technology, its broad portfolio of consulting services, innovation workshops, and training courses, and its software and monitoring solutions.
Four steps to a successful technology implementation
As a key part of the digital factory, industrial 3D printing is becoming a game-changer. However, many companies do not yet have sufficient knowledge to turn their vision of a fully digital production into reality. At the Hannover Messe, EOS will be addressing companies with varying levels of knowledge using the inspiring success stories of its customers to demonstrate how additive manufacturing can fundamentally transform business models, design principles, and supply chains. At its stand, EOS will be showcasing, for instance, nozzles for gas turbines at Siemens, hydraulic components for commercial aircraft as well as CE-certified prostheses for leg amputees.
These sophisticated applications show that industrial 3D printing is economical and conserves resources, at the same time already being deployed in a great many industries to create added value. Having provided guidance in over 300 customer projects, the EOS consulting unit “Additive Minds” is the ideal partner for companies, helping them establish their innovation projects, accelerating their learning curves, and thereby enabling the technology to develop its full potential.
EOS polymer systems for all application areas
EOS offers a broad portfolio of systems for industrial 3D printing of both polymers and metals. At this year’s trade show, the primary focus will be on polymer technology. In this area, EOS offers a wide array of options – from the award-winning FORMIGA P 110 entry-level model to systems designed for industrial serial production that process high-temperature materials such as those used for special-purpose applications, particularly in the aerospace industry. Wherever the customer requires, EOS is ready to provide support along the entire value chain together with its network of partners – whether powder, manufacturing, or post-processing.
EOS software suite provides broader options
At its stand, EOS will also be demonstrating software solutions for the integration of additive manufacturing in conventional production environments. To this end, the EOS software suite offers room for optimization: the intuitive, open and productive tool EOSPRINT 2 greatly simplifies work processes. Furthermore, EOSCONNECT offers the interfaces needed to integrate with applications in the Internet of Things (IoT) as well as new options for remote maintenance and production control.
