Formula 1 World Champion and sustainability entrepreneur Nico Rosberg is giving away his 2018 Energica EGO electric supersport motorcycle to raise money for charities helping people in need by Covid-19 pandemic.
The Nico’s 2018 Energica EGO is custom-designed with many parts manufactured by CRP Technology using Selective Laser Sintering process and Windform composite materials.
It evidences that the union between a highly advanced 3D printing process (Selective Laser Sintering) and Windform TOP-LINE composite materials allows the creation of functional and performing components.
The fundraising consists in an online raffle that was launched few days ago on the fundraising platform Vip Prize and runs until August 12, 2020.
“As Energica’s financial incubator and technological partner – comments Engineer Franco Cevolini, CTO and VP at CRP Technology – we have been supporting the development of all the Energica models from the very beginning, especially the road-going EGO which shares common ground with the Nico’s custom designed 2018 Energica EGO electric sportbike.” Engineer Franco Cevolini adds: “CRP Technology’s innovative, avant-garde solutions in the field of Additive Manufacturing technology have made Energica a unique model throughout the world. CRP’s know-how is present on Nico’s Ego as many parts of his custom electric sportbike were manufactured in Modena, Italy, by CRP Technology.”
