STATE COLLEGE, PA – October 4, 2021 – Xact Metal announces the launch of a new galvanometer-based printer set to formally launch at FormNext 2021. The new system will be faster with scanning speeds up to 12000 mm/sec and feature a larger build volume than previous models. The XM200G will have a customizable number of lasers (up to four) and preferred wattage (up to 400 watts), making this machine able to meet the demanding specifications of high-performance use cases in aerospace, medical, and other applications where print speed, part quality, and affordability is essential.
The Xact Metal XM200G will feature modern software architecture, offering a streamlined, intuitive and functional platform supporting visual workflows, layer-by-layer data collection, and remote monitoring. Fitted with ethernet capability, remote monitoring of printer status and email notifications also available.
The XM200G will include an optional glovebox to minimize the operator’s contact with powder, inert gas housing to provide quick and safe filter changes, while maintaining an open platform allowing qualified users to develop exposure parameters and use their own powder.
