XYZprinting Highlights the Future of 3D Printing

XYZprinting's new machine with Open Platform Fast Cycle Sintering (OPFCS) envisions an open-platform-based selective laser sintering solution.

ANAHEIM, Calif./Nov. 30, 2022 — XYZprinting introduced its new 3D printing solutions with Open Platform Fast Cycle Sintering (OPFCS), which envisions a future of open-platform-based selective laser sintering (SLS) 3D printing solutions that can both utilize powder from any material supplier and reuse end-of-life powder, thereby maximizing materials compatibility while greatly decreasing waste.

On top of reducing waste and expanding compatibility, the smaller build volume of MfgPro236 xS is ideal for expanding capacity for expedited jobs. It offers top speeds, a 22-hour cycle, and only 2 hours for cooling — enabling it to rapidly print parts while maintaining high precision and quality. With the additional laser power, the MfgPro236 extends its material capability to revolutionary new materials like 3DSystems PAX nylon copolymer, Jabil PK-5000 PolyKetone, and Evonik TPC are unlocking new applications in additive manufacturing that further bring the effectiveness of SLS to the fore.

“The adoption of the smaller platform for high daily throughput is a game changer. Our customers have options for an expedited two business day turn-around in their 3D Printing Service. SLS systems allow them to print more of the expedited jobs, and the print quality is as good as any printer in the market.” Says XYZprinting Director for America’s Industrial Printers, John Calhoun.

Sustainability in 3D printing: SLS 3D printers offer numerous manufacturing advantages, but a common drawback is waste. XYZprinting solves this by providing high-performance systems with smaller build volumes for less waste.

Growing demand for SLS: With higher energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness, more US SMEs are increasingly choosing XYZprinting SLS systems to drive their manufacturing. JawsTec, a premier US-based printing service, adds 4 XYZprinting MfgPro230 xS SLS to their multi-million dollar lineup of 3D printers.
