- Expansion of partnership for industrial 3D printing solutions
Düsseldorf / Germany, Apr 12, 2018 – Henkel is further expanding its partnership with HP for 3D printing solutions. In addition to the close collaboration with HP’s Open Platform for materials the Adhesive Technologies business unit will become the first global reseller of HP Jet Fusion 3D printing solutions. With the partnership both companies aim to accelerate the adoption of 3D printing in industrial manufacturing.
As a leader of high-impact solutions with broad materials know-how in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings Henkel globally serves customers in various industrial markets such as automotive, machinery and equipment, consumer goods and construction. The company is already working in HP´s open materials community to develop, test and qualify materials for HP´s powder fusion based Multi Jet Fusion technology. The combination of materials expertise and customer reach enables Henkel to introduce the HP Multi Jet Fusion technology to design and manufacturing departments worldwide and to leverage the adoption of customized 3D printing solutions in production.
“HP is a strong partner within our 3D printing ecosystem and we believe that their Multi Jet Fusion technology will play an important role in the industrial transformation towards additive manufacturing”, explained Philipp Loosen, Head of 3D Printing at Henkel. “As the first global reseller we now start to market the technology among our customer base in the US, Europe, and Asia leveraging our fully equipped 3D printing technology centers in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, Dublin, Ireland, and Shanghai, China, respectively. Over time we are aiming to expand the roll-out across more countries and regions.”
“HP is proud to partner with an innovative industry leader like Henkel to accelerate an open materials marketplace and drive the adoption of 3D printed final parts and applications,” said Michelle Bockman, Global Head of Commercial Expansion, 3D Printing, HP Inc. “We share a vision to accelerate the development of new materials that expand the potential of 3D printing applications, and together we will help push the digital transformation of manufacturing.
